Robert Shultz, D.O., F.A.C.O.I., is a 1984 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his rotating internship and internal medicine residency at Normandy Osteopathic Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri. he completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his fellowship training Dr. Shultz served as a visiting fellow at several prestigious medical centers including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Washington University, and the University of Michigan Medical Centers. Dr. Shultz is Board Certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internist.

Ian Martínez, M.D. completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. After his internship in 2008, he was awarded the LSU School of Medicine Aesculapian Society Intern of the Year Award Ward. He was chosen for his approachability, enthusiasm, and superior quality of instruction.
Dr. Martinez has been practicing Gastroenterology for the last 8 years and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the Florida Gastroenterologic Society and the Pan'American Medical Association of Central Florida.
Dr. Martinez joined Gastroenterology Services in July 2017 and lives in Oviedo with his wife and two small children. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Kristine Trout, MSN, ARNP is a board certified nurse practitioner with vas clinical experience spanning over 20 years. She was recently recognized by the American Health Council as “Best in Nursing”. She is also a member of the Florida Gastroenterologic Society for the last 3 years. She is a education speaker on behalf of Abbvie Pahrmaceuticals.
Kristine began her nursing career in 1993 as a registered nurse in New Jersey and held several positions in medical, oncology, critical care, recovery room and endoscopy. She further enhanced her expertise via leadership position such as charge nurse, assistant manager of an ICU and manager of post intensive care unit. In 2006, she graduated with honors as an adult nurse practitioner and began her 11 year career specializing in Gastroenterology. She was able to utilize her vast experience in several specialties to perfect her clinical abilities in Gastroenterology by incorporating all that she has learned.
Gastroenterology is more than a career for Kristine, it’s her passion forge by personal experiences. After the loss of her parents from esophageal and pancreatic cancer, Kristine uses these experiences to challenge her to practice personalized medical care and provide the highest quality of patient satisfaction.
In 2010, Kristine and her family decided to move to the Central Florida area and she currently lives in Clermont, Florida. Kristine’s hobbies include her love for singing, traveling and spending time with her husband 2 children.
